Osmosis, a decentralized exchange built on the Cosmos network, has suffered a security exploit involving the Nomic chain. The incident occurred when an attacker managed to send fake vouchers to Osmosis, affecting 39.84 nBTC, which constitutes about 36% of Alloyed BTC's backing.

The attack allowed the attacker to double-spend nBTC, leading to the freezing of 22.65 BTC in their address. As a result, Osmosis has paused all inflows and outflows due to the exploit.

Commentator @WuBlockchain highlighted the incident as an example of vulnerabilities in the crypto space and the importance of robust security measures.

Osmosis will seek governance approval to manage the frozen assets, which could have implications for its operational integrity and user trust.
