Ousted Pudgy Penguins Co-Founder Sells Out NFT Collection for $1.28 Million

Cole Villemain, the co-founder of Pudgy Penguins who was ousted in 2022 over treasury mismanagement allegations, has sold out his 44,444-piece Spritehood Wisps NFT collection on Robinhood Chain for approximately $1.28 million.

The sale, which took place on August 11, saw the paid portion of 42,956 tokens raise $636,310 at $17 each and an additional $646,542 at $117 apiece.

Villemain distributed another 1,488 NFTs for free through 20 zero-price transactions before the public sale began, bringing the total supply to 44,444 items.
