Pakistan Calls for Effective Regulation of Digital Assets at UN Event
Pakistan's Minister for Crypto and Blockchain, Bilal Bin Saqib, called for effective regulatory frameworks for digital assets at a United Nations event. He said clear rules can help build confidence among users and support responsible development of digital financial technologies.
Saqib made the remarks while addressing a session on Digital Assets and Blockchain for Sustainable Development at the UN. He emphasized that clear regulation is important to create an environment where digital financial technologies can develop responsibly.
Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, also spoke at the event. He noted that developing countries need capacity not only to adopt emerging technologies but also to benefit from them.
