Pakistani Crypto Expert Waqar Zaka Wins Global Trading Competition with $74,000 Profit
Crypto expert Waqar Zaka has made history by winning the TradFi Competition, a global solo trading tournament that attracted over 3,000 participants from around the world.
The competition required contestants to trade across multiple asset classes, including stocks, gold, silver, commodities, and cryptocurrencies using their own money. Zaka's ability to adapt and perform well in both traditional and digital financial markets earned him a top spot in the tournament.
Zaka received a brand-new 2026 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon as the winner's prize for demonstrating a 74% return on investment, generating $74,000 in profit during the 20-day contest. This achievement marks the first time a Pakistani trader has reached the top of an international multi-asset online trading event.
Zaka's victory has also brought renewed attention to his proposal for Pakistan to establish a Bitcoin reserve and use it as a strategic asset to help pay off national debt and reduce dependence on the IMF. This idea was first presented by Zaka in 2016, when he advocated for including Bitcoin on the country's national balance sheet.
