Crypto expert Waqar Zaka has made headlines after winning the TradFi Competition, a global solo trading tournament that drew over 3,000 participants from around the world. The competition required traders to perform across stocks, gold, silver, commodities, and cryptocurrencies using their own money.

Zaka emerged victorious with a 74% return on investment, generating $74,000 in profit during the 20-day contest. This brought his total account value to $174,000, making him the first Pakistani trader to top an international multi-asset online trading event of this nature.

Notably, Zaka's win has renewed attention around his proposal for the Pakistani government to purchase Bitcoin and place it on the country's national balance sheet as a strategic reserve. This idea, which he began promoting in 2016 when Bitcoin was trading at $268, is now being discussed internationally, including by US President Donald Trump.
