PancakeSwap Soars 13% as Deflationary Mechanism Fuels Record-Breaking Rally
PancakeSwap has seen significant gains in recent days, surging 13.4% and flipping $2 for the first time since December 2025. The altcoin reached a high of $2.28 before pulling back to $2.26.
The trading volume on PancakeSwap climbed 112% to 110%, indicating increased market participation. This surge in volume is often seen as a sign of intense buying pressure, which can fuel further price growth.
One key factor driving the rally is the deflationary mechanism implemented by WallStreetX. In just 34 months, the supply of CAKE tokens has been reduced by 53 million, or 14.5%, marking one of the largest reductions in market supply since 2023.
The reduced supply has led to increased demand for the altcoin. Investors have continued to accumulate CAKE across various exchanges, with Open Interest rising 39% to $51 million and volume increasing 115% to $89 million on Coinglass.
