Pantera Capital Flags Shift in Bitcoin Positioning as Price Breaks Key Moving Average
Pantera Capital has observed a significant shift in market behavior for Bitcoin. According to Cosmo Jiang, a portfolio manager at Pantera Capital, traders and funds are moving from short to long positions on Bitcoin as it broke above its 200-day moving average.
The 200-day moving average is a key technical indicator closely watched by institutional investors. Breaking above this level is often seen as a bullish signal suggesting that the asset's price momentum may be shifting from a downtrend to an uptrend.
The recent correction of roughly 50% over a ten-month period has contributed to the changing sentiment among market participants. However, the asset has demonstrated renewed strength, rallying more than 23% over the past week.
Jiang attributed the bullish catalyst to a combination of factors including a friendlier regulatory environment in the United States and macroeconomic policies such as Treasury buybacks that may increase market liquidity and risk appetite.
