Pantera Capital Leads $52.5M Raise for Sam Altman's Anti-Deepfake Network
World Foundation, the nonprofit behind Sam Altman's World Network, has raised $52.5 million through a locked WLD token sale led by Pantera Capital.
The funds will be used to integrate biometric identity tech across enterprise platforms and AI agents.
The raise follows broader crypto and AI investment momentum, including Paradigm's $1.2 billion fund.
World Network has seen significant growth since its launch, with over 39 million people joining the network and 18 million verified through an Orb device.
The project was originally created by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, alongside Max Novendstern and Tools for Humanity CEO Alex Blania.
