Pantera-Led Fundraising Sees World Foundation Raise $52.5 Million for Digital Identity Platform
World Foundation has successfully raised $52.5 million in a private token sale of its native WLD token, led by Pantera Capital.
The funds will be used to develop World ID, a digital identity platform that verifies users' identities without sharing personal details with anyone.
Eightco Holdings, listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange, was also involved in the fundraising and already owns a significant share of WLD coins.
Cosmo Jiang, general partner at Pantera Capital, noted that proof-of-human technology is becoming increasingly relevant due to AI technology advancements.
