Paraguay Investigates Death of Hong Kong Crypto Exec Amid Wrench Attack Warnings
Paraguay's police have opened an investigation into the death of Hong Kong-born cryptocurrency fund executive Harry Yeh Chun-tak, who was found dead at the bottom of a residential complex in Asunción.
Yeh's body was discovered on Wednesday outside his supposed 30th-floor flat, and according to reports, it was covered with a black plastic bag. The interior of the flat was in disarray, and the doors were open when police entered.
The Paraguayan authorities have left all hypotheses open, including accident, suicide, or foul play, pending an autopsy to determine the official cause of death. Experts are also warning about a global rise in 'wrench attacks,' which involve violent extortion attempts targeting digital asset holders.
