Paraguayan Police Investigate Death of Crypto Executive Amid Wrench Attack Fears

Police in Paraguay have launched an investigation into the death of Hong Kong-born cryptocurrency fund executive Harry Yeh Chun-tak, whose body was found outside his residential building in Asuncion. The incident has sparked speculation and warnings about a global rise in violent extortion attempts targeting digital asset holders.

Yeh's naked body was discovered at the foot of the Jade Park residential complex in the capital city's Trinidad neighborhood, covered with a black plastic bag. Local police said his 30th-floor flat was open and the interior was disarrayed when investigators entered.

Prosecutors say all hypotheses remain open, including accident, suicide or foul play, as they await the results of an autopsy to determine the official cause of death. The incident has led experts to warn about a growing phenomenon known as 'wrench attacks,' where individuals are targeted for their digital assets through violent means.
