Paxos Upgrades PAX Gold Allocation System to Real-Time
Paxos, the issuer of PAX Gold (PAXG), has upgraded its allocation system to real-time. This change cuts processing times from two hours to milliseconds, enhancing transparency and efficiency for over 62,000 token holders.
The old batch-job allocator required recomputation every two hours, but the new delta engine processes changes immediately. Operations like transfers, mints, and burns now take an average of 1.24 milliseconds per event.
Paxos's shift to real-time allocation supports its multi-chain ambitions. The token expanded to Solana in June 2026, marking its first step beyond Ethereum. According to Paxos, the revamped system is chain-agnostic, requiring only minor adjustments to support additional blockchains.
