PayPal Expands Crypto Services with Supported Transfers and Conversions
PayPal's US customers can now transfer supported cryptocurrencies between their PayPal accounts and compatible external wallets or exchanges.
This is part of the payment platform's expansion into cryptocurrency services, allowing users to send and receive supported assets without having to leave the app.
The supported cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Solana, Chainlink, and PYUSD, with minimum transfer requirements varying by asset and network.
Eligible US customers have a maximum weekly crypto transfer limit of $25,000 across internal and external transfers, while PayPal claims that most crypto transfers take around two hours to process, although this can vary depending on blockchain congestion and confirmation requirements.
