PayPal Fees Tacked On for Coinbase Purchases
Coinbase has announced that users in the U.S. can now purchase cryptocurrencies using their PayPal accounts, but this convenience comes at a cost.
The exchange will charge customers on top of PayPal's fees, which are up to 4%. This means that users will get less cryptocurrency for their dollars.
Coinbase claims that the feature is intended to make buying crypto 'simple and easy', but acknowledges that traditional payment methods like ACH and wire transfers can be time-consuming.
The daily limit for purchases using PayPal is $25,000, which Coinbase believes will not be a concern for most users.
