PayPal Sees Revenue Surge on Stablecoin Expansion
PayPal's second-quarter revenue topped analysts' expectations at $8.68 billion, up 3% year-over-year from Q2 2025. The company attributes this growth to its strategy of integrating digital assets and artificial intelligence into its payment ecosystem.
The payments giant highlighted the expansion of its dollar-backed stablecoin, PYUSD, which is now available in 70 markets worldwide, significantly increasing its reach beyond its initial rollout in the US and UK.
PayPal also emphasized the importance of AI-powered commerce tools as a key growth initiative. The company continues to expand its blockchain-based payment capabilities across its ecosystem, reflecting crypto assets in its financial reporting.
