PayPal Smashes Q2 Earnings Estimates on Strong Digital Currency Growth
PayPal's second-quarter earnings report exceeded Wall Street expectations on both revenue and adjusted earnings per share, sending a signal that its pivot towards AI-driven efficiency and digital currency integration is paying off.
The company reported an EPS of $1.38, beating the consensus estimate by nearly 8%, while revenue hit $8.68 billion for the quarter, above the $8.47 billion analysts had projected.
PayPal's stablecoin, PYUSD, has expanded to 70 markets as of March 2026, and although the Q2 results didn't provide a breakdown of specific metrics, earlier quarters have shown that crypto holdings have a significant impact on EPS.
The raised full-year guidance is seen as a key signal for investors, indicating that PayPal has strong visibility into its financial performance for the back half of the year.
