PayPal's Crypto Push: Record Payments, New Division, and Stablecoin Focus
PayPal's second-quarter results show a record $486.4 billion in payments processed, a 10% year-over-year increase.
The company also reported $8.68 billion in revenue, up 5%, and non-GAAP earnings of $1.38 per share, beating analyst estimates.
PayPal is expanding its digital asset strategy with a dedicated crypto division, Payment Services & Crypto, which sits alongside other major units within the company.
The division will focus on stablecoins, among other areas, and has listed them as one of three key expansion points under an 'innovating with discipline' heading.
