PayPal's Custom Stablecoin Platform Hits $100M in Volume
The partners first announced the concept in February, describing it as a way for builders to create application-specific digital dollars without constructing token and reserve systems from scratch.
May Zabaneh, senior vice president and general manager of crypto at PayPal, said: 'The stablecoin market is maturing fast. What separates the next phase from the last isn't the asset. It's what companies can do with it.'
The platform has already processed $100 million in combined volume across lending, investment and credit products.
