Payward and Broadridge Unite to Give Tokenized Stocks a Voice
Payward Services, the B2B arm of Kraken, has formed a partnership with Broadridge Financial Solutions to grant voting rights to holders of its xStocks tokens. This integration will enable eligible token holders to submit proxy votes digitally using their Web3 credentials. The partnership is significant because it addresses one of the main limitations of tokenized stocks: the inability to exercise proxy voting rights.
The xStocks framework, launched in June 2025, allowed investors to gain economic exposure to underlying equities but lacked voting capabilities. Broadridge's infrastructure will now change that equation by connecting its governance platform and ProxyVote.com with Web3 authentication. This means token holders can now exercise proxy votes the same way traditional shareholders do.
Payward's xStocks platform supports over 500 tokenized assets, including equities, ETFs, and pre-IPO offerings, making it the most widely traded tokenized equities framework by transaction volume. The partnership with Broadridge is a crucial step forward for the development of tokenized securities, as it addresses one of the main concerns of institutional investors.
