Payward Secures Record-Breaking $100M Investment Agreement from Nasdaq Ventures
Crypto companies raised $151 million in disclosed financing across five deals from September 5-11, according to data. The largest deal was Payward's agreement with Nasdaq Ventures to invest $100 million, but it's described as an investment agreement rather than a completed payment.
The second-largest deal was Latitude's $35 million Series A, led by Oak HC/FT. Latitude is building infrastructure that uses stablecoins for settlement while delivering payments to recipients through local banking and payment systems.
Nasdaq said it plans to connect its proposed Nasdaq Equity Tokens design with Payward's xStocks infrastructure, and Payward will adopt Nasdaq's market surveillance technology across its trading venues. The agreement builds on work between the two companies on tokenized equities.
