Payward Taps Anthropic's Myths 5 for Enhanced Cybersecurity
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has joined Anthropic's Project Glasswing and gained restricted access to Claude Mythos 5 for defensive cybersecurity work. The company plans to scan all its environments for software vulnerabilities within the coming weeks.
The findings will enter Payward's existing security review process rather than automatically producing software changes. Payward also intends to disclose validated vulnerabilities affecting third-party open-source projects to their maintainers.
Anthropic limits Mythos 5 access to vetted organizations because its cybersecurity capabilities carry misuse risks. The company requires customers to accept a thirty-day data retention for safety monitoring, which includes retaining code or system information.
