PEPE Coin Exodus Tops 4.5 Trillion Amid Memecoin Market Decline

PEPE has experienced a massive outflow of coins from exchanges, with 4.54 trillion tokens leaving in a single day. This is the largest such event since November 2024, according to data from analytics firm Santiment.

This exodus reduces the risk of a sudden heavy selloff, as fewer coins are available for fast selling on exchanges. PEPE has been trading sideways for roughly two months without any major project-specific catalyst driving the move.

Santiment notes that when a quiet token like PEPE leaves exchanges while traders are not actively chasing it, bullish holders can argue that supply is moving toward stronger hands before attention returns.

The memecoin sector market cap has decreased by 11.40% over the past 30 days, with volume dropping 38.21%. This could be a sign of a larger trend in the market, rather than just PEPE's performance.
