Perp DEXs List Over 1,000 RWA Markets, Public Equities Dominate

Crypto derivatives platforms have seen a significant shift in recent years, moving beyond leveraged Bitcoin and Ethereum bets. Perpetual decentralized exchanges (Perp DEXs) now offer over 1,000 real-world asset markets, with public equities dominating at 75% of total listings.

The milestone marks a shift towards more diversified on-chain derivatives platforms. Of the 1,000-plus RWA perp markets, 747 are tied to public equities, carrying an open interest of $2.586 billion and representing close to 47% of total RWA open interest across all Perp DEXs.

The 24-hour trading volume for public equity perps clocks in at $1.681 billion. While other RWA categories exist, they trail behind in both market count and activity.
