Phantom Cancels Sui Support as September Deadline Looms
Phantom, the popular multichain wallet, is dropping support for the Sui network. The decision was made in conjunction with the Sui team and will take effect on September 24, giving users one month to transfer their assets to another compatible wallet or swap them for supported assets.
The integration between Phantom and Sui began in December 2024, when Phantom announced it would support the network. The move was part of a broader expansion push by the wallet, which added support for Ethereum and Bitcoin alongside newer networks.
Users who hold Sui assets in their Phantom wallets will receive in-app notifications and step-by-step migration guides to help them navigate the process. They can transfer their assets to another Sui-compatible wallet or swap them for supported assets, with fees waived on those swaps before the September 24 cutoff.
