Phantom Ditches Monad, Shifts Focus to Robinhood Chain
Phantom Wallet Ends Support for Monad on August 26
The multichain wallet Phantom announced it will terminate support for Monad network on August 26, marking a shift in resources towards networks with greater potential for real-world financial applications and tokenized assets. This decision follows a nine-month integration period since Monad's mainnet launch.
Affected users have two primary options to manage their assets: importing their seed phrase into another wallet that supports Monad or swapping their MON tokens directly within Phantom for other assets, including Wrapped MON within the Solana ecosystem.
Phantom emphasized that this change does not affect user fund ownership and will provide notifications and instructions to help users transition to alternative solutions. The company clarified that the decision stems from structural changes in Monad's development rather than any security issues within the wallet itself.
