Phantom Dumps Sui Network Support Amid 82% TVL Crash

Phantom, a self-custody digital wallet, has announced that it will end its support for the Sui Network on September 24th. This change affects how users access their assets on the network.

Starting from this date, users will no longer be able to view, send, swap, or connect their SUI assets to applications using Phantom's wallet. However, the user's SUI assets will still exist within the Sui network and ownership of the tokens won't change.

The removal of Phantom as a distribution channel for Sui applications places migration decisions on users. Since funds remain on-chain, attention shifts from asset safety toward the choices holders must make.

SUI holders have two options: they may choose to continue holding SUI and export their credentials to another compatible wallet to restore access to their applications and balance. Alternatively, they can exchange for other tokens such as wrapped SUI, Solana (SOL), Ethereum (ETH) or USD Coin (USDC).
