Philippines Puts Blockchain to Work at Record-Breaking PBW
More than 12,000 local and international delegates attended Philippine Blockchain Week (PBW) 2026 at the SMX Convention Center Manila. The event marked a turning point in the country's digital transformation.
The theme 'Decoded: Deployed' showed how blockchain, artificial intelligence, and digital assets are already being deployed across government, finance, business, and everyday life. Instead of explaining what these technologies can do, PBW 2026 demonstrated their practical applications.
The event featured over 150 speakers from around the world, including Michael Terpin, known as the 'Godfather of Crypto.' He praised the Philippines for being a leader in innovation and highlighting its role in incubating new platforms and platforms like Axie Infinity.
