Philippines Shifts from Explaining Blockchain to Showcasing Its Practical Deployment

The Philippine Blockchain Week (PBW) 2026 marked a significant shift from explaining blockchain and digital assets to showcasing their practical deployment in various sectors. The event, held at the SMX Convention Center Manila, drew over 12,000 delegates from local and international markets.

Keynote speakers emphasized that emerging technologies are no longer just concepts but solutions addressing real-world challenges today. Chezka Gonzales, PBW Co-Founder, stated that her vision was to put Filipinos on the global blockchain map and showcase their talent and innovation to the world.

The event featured over 150 speakers from around the world, with more than half representing international markets. The conference theme 'Decoded: Deployed' came alive through discussions on tokenized real-world assets and practical blockchain applications.
