Trezor, a hardware wallet provider, has alerted its users to an increase in phishing attempts following a recent hack of Coldcard wallets.

The malicious actor exploited a five-year-old vulnerability in the key-generation process, stealing 594 BTC worth around $38 million from approximately 500 self-custody wallets on June 31.

Cryptocurrency users are advised to ignore any unsolicited migration orders and avoid sharing their private seed phrases with scammers who may exploit panic among users.
