Phishing Scam Targets XRP Users Through Fake Flare Network Website
XRP users are facing a new wave of phishing attacks targeting their wallets. The scammers have created fake websites and social media accounts that impersonate well-known platforms in the XRP ecosystem, including Flare Network.
According to reports from South Korean authorities, one such fake website allegedly stole 3.4 million XRP from 71 investors, valued at approximately $8.5 million at the time of the investigation.
Xora Finance and Xaman, a recognized wallet in the XRP Ledger ecosystem, have issued warnings to users about these phishing attempts. The scammers are using various tactics, including fake support accounts and wallet-draining attempts, to steal user assets.
Security experts and project teams advise users to be cautious when interacting with any platform that claims to offer staking or rewards, and to verify official channels before doing so. They also recommend avoiding unverified links and direct messages that request private information or wallet connections.
