The Pi Network has completed its Protocol 26 upgrade, which required all 421,000 nodes to update by August 11, 2026. This upgrade marks a significant step towards mainnet stability and is seen as crucial for gaining trust and exchange listings.

However, despite registering its MiCA white paper with the ESMA, Pi remains unlisted on major exchanges like Binance and Coinbase. The network faces scrutiny over code transparency and token concentration, which continues to pressure the price that has dropped over 97% from its peak.

The real test for Pi will be whether Protocol 27 leads to genuine ecosystem growth, increased on-chain activity, and broader exchange acceptance.
