Pi Network Expands Crypto Infrastructure with Local Storage, Staking API, and File Sharing

Pi Network has rolled out three new tools aimed at developers, expanding its crypto infrastructure. The Core Team launched local storage, a staking API, and file sharing on September 4.

The first tool, local storage, allows authorized applications to store data directly on a user's device, reducing costs and technical complexity. This functionality is limited to whitelisted apps, with available space and old data subject to deletion when capacity is reached.

The second tool, the Staking Data API, enables developers to check the amount of PI crypto effectively staked by a user in favor of their application within the Ecosystem Directory Staking. Access to this API is initially reserved for authorized applications.

The third function, Pi.shareFile, allows an application to use the phone's native functions directly to share files, images, or videos. This tool is designed to simplify sharing and interaction between users and applications.

Pi Network has also consolidated its technical documentation on a single platform to simplify the transition from development to launching an application.
