Pi Network Price Rises on Stronger Sentiment and Protocol 26 Upgrade
Pi Network's price is gaining traction as Bitcoin maintains its value above $65,000 and the broader cryptocurrency market shows signs of improvement. Over the past 24 hours, PI climbed 2.80% to around $0.0910, outperforming Bitcoin's modest gain of about 0.21%. The rise in sentiment across the market follows weaker U.S. employment data.
While Bitcoin briefly touched $65,400 before consolidating near $65,000 during Saturday trading, Pi Network has shown stronger daily performance. Trading activity remains a concern, however, as PI's volume declined 17.59% to approximately $9.42 million. Despite this, the focus is shifting towards Protocol 26, which aims to enhance contract security and interoperability.
The upgrade, set for August 11, has mainnet validators racing against time to prepare the network transition. Additionally, PI's utility is expanding with reports suggesting its use in paying for robotic services across the Fabric network. This development is boosting sentiment around real-world PI coin use cases.
