Pi Network Unveils DEX Plans as Token Price Remains Stagnant
The Pi Network's latest protocol upgrade, Protocol 26, has completed its mainnet deployment, marking another milestone in the project's development. This upgrade focused on improving contract safety, state management, and cryptographic capabilities, making the smart contract layer more resilient against certain attack classes.
The Core Team set a deadline for node operators to complete the upgrade by August 11, which resulted in over 421,000 active nodes successfully updating their software. The team stated that this pair of upgrades will bring Pi 'up to date with the latest protocol features, improvements, and functionality.'
Looking ahead, Protocol 27 is currently on testnet and introduces automated market maker liquidity pools, smart contract authentication, and RPC server infrastructure. This upgrade is targeted for mainnet deployment on September 15.
