Pi Network Unveils Partnership with RoboPay and Launches New Token Model
The Pi Network has made significant updates to its platform, solidifying its position in the cryptocurrency market. In a recent announcement, the team revealed a partnership with RoboPay, an on-chain system that enables AI agents to discover, hire, and pay robots autonomously.
This collaboration will allow 'tens of millions' of Pi users to access robot services directly through their assets, making physical intelligence an on-demand service. The partnership marks a shift in human interaction with robotics, as users can now purchase outcomes instead of purchasing robots themselves.
The Core Team behind the project has also outlined the details of its launchpad model, which sends committed Pi coins directly into a liquidity pool paired with the newly issued ecosystem asset. This approach aims to enhance user engagement and real application functions, with over 240,000 Pioneers participating in the distribution of Testnet tokens called SLICE.
The team has also confirmed the completion of protocol version 25 and outlined the deadline for deploying version 26, a major milestone leading up to the final planned upgrade, version 27. Node operators are required to ensure their systems are upgraded by August 11 to remain connected to the network.
