Pineapple Financial Onboards Over $1B in Mortgage Records to Injective
Pineapple Financial has made significant strides in its plan to migrate a long-running mortgage portfolio onto a public blockchain network, Injective. The company has onboarded over $1 billion in residential mortgage records to the platform, marking a crucial step in its journey.
This move is part of Pineapple's broader effort to bring its historical loan portfolio onchain, with each migrated mortgage corresponding to an onchain record tied to the underlying loan file. The structure preserves the relationship between onchain data and the original loan documentation.
The system includes over 500 data points spanning loan-level information, enabling auditability and risk analysis directly around the referenced mortgage file. This approach differs from traditional tokenization models that package loans into new securities.
