Pitbull's upcoming album title 'Pitcoin' has inspired a wave of new crypto tokens, but none of them carry any endorsement from the artist or his label.

The leading PITCOIN token on Solana (SOL) saw its daily volume surge to $583,231, despite being created on August 12, the same day Billboard announced the album title.

A new version of the Pitcoin token on Robinhood's chain rose 207% in under seven hours, but most copycat tokens have struggled to gain traction, holding market caps below $3,000.
