Pitbull's upcoming album title 'Pitcoin' has sparked a wave of speculative trading in cryptocurrency, with multiple unaffiliated meme coins adopting the name. The album title was first announced in a Billboard exclusive on August 12 and later amplified by Pitbull himself on X with gold-coin imagery bearing his likeness.

The promotional language and visual branding leaned heavily into cryptocurrency aesthetics, prompting many to initially interpret the post as the launch of an official digital token rather than a music release. This confusion proved profitable for opportunistic traders, who created several tokens named PITCOIN on Solana-based meme coin trading platform Pump.fun.

The leading version is currently trading with a market capitalization of approximately $241,000 and 24-hour trading volume exceeding $615,000, reflecting gains of more than 100% in a single day. However, none of these tokens have any on-record connection to Pitbull, his label Mr. 305 Records, or the upcoming album.
