PKOL President Radosław Piesiewicz Arrested in Zondacrypto Graft Probe
Polish Olympic Committee president Radosław Piesiewicz was arrested on August 27 in connection to an investigation into Zondacrypto's collapse. The platform, which partnered with PKOl as its general sponsor in October 2025, promised token-based rewards for athletes but effectively stopped functioning weeks later.
Prosecutors allege that Piesiewicz personally benefited from his relationship with Zondacrypto, receiving a luxury watch valued at approximately €40,000, travel expenses, and match tickets. The total alleged haul is between 190,000 and 216,000 zł, or around €40,000 to €45,000.
Piesiewicz has denied any wrongdoing, claiming the watch was purchased with his own money and characterizing the accusations as a politically motivated smear campaign. He previously faced questions over alleged fake invoices totaling around 9.3 million zł during his tenure with other sports institutions.
