Plasma Unlocks $152M Worth of XPL Tokens on September 25

The Plasma XPL token will unlock on September 25, 2026, releasing 1.81 billion tokens from the team and investor pools.

This is a significant event for the cryptocurrency, as these tokens were previously locked up due to a one-year vesting period that began on September 25, 2025, when the mainnet beta launched.

The team and investors hold a combined total of 2.5 billion XPL, with one third of this amount subject to a cliff, meaning it will be released in full on September 25, 2026.

Additionally, the ecosystem tranche will also release 88.9 million XPL on the same day, bringing the total number of tokens unlocked to 1.89 billion, or approximately 18.94% of the maximum supply.
