Plume Joins DTCC Tokenization Group Ahead of October Launch
Plume, a blockchain platform focused on real-world assets (RWAs), has joined the DTCC Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group. The move comes as the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) prepares to launch its tokenization service in October 2026, following successful production trading in July of this year.
The DTCC working group is comprised of over 50 banks, asset managers, custodians, broker-dealers, and digital asset firms, including major financial institutions like BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Charles Schwab, and Circle. The group aims to develop and refine the technical standards, interoperability requirements, and operational workflows for institutional tokenized securities.
Plume's membership in the working group marks another step towards integrating its RWA infrastructure with traditional financial markets as institutional adoption of tokenization accelerates. The platform has seen rapid growth recently, reporting over $115 million in real-world asset total value locked (TVL) and more than 200,000 RWA holders.
