Plume Joins DTCC's Tokenization Working Group Ahead of Commercial Launch
Plume Network, a blockchain designed for tokenizing real-world assets, has joined the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation's (DTCC) Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group. This move comes as the DTCC prepares to launch its commercial tokenization service in October 2026.
The DTCC working group aims to advance digital asset adoption and improve interoperability between blockchain-based systems and traditional settlement infrastructure. With Plume's membership, the company will be part of a room with over 100 financial institutions designing how tokenized securities will work in practice.
Plume has already registered as a transfer agent with the SEC on October 6, 2025, allowing it to manage onchain shareholder records and handle compliance functions. This status enables Plume's blockchain to serve as the authoritative record of ownership for tokenized securities.
