Plume Joins DTCC's Tokenization Working Group Ahead of Service Launch
DTCC's Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group has expanded to over 100 members and partners, including Plume, Nasdaq, Charles Schwab, and Alpaca. The working group was formed to gather input from asset managers, banks, brokers, exchanges, custodians, and blockchain companies on the tokenization service planned by DTCC.
The service will allow DTC participants to create digital representations of eligible securities held in custody, which can be delivered to approved wallets and converted between traditional and tokenized records. The SEC has issued a no-action letter authorizing the asset set, including Russell 1000 shares, exchange-traded funds tracking major indexes, and U.S. Treasury bills, notes, and bonds.
Plume's membership in the working group gives it a seat in the design process of DTCC's tokenization service, which is expected to launch in October 2026. The company has positioned itself as a bridge between blockchain ownership records and established U.S. market infrastructure through its subsidiary, Kimber Transfer Agency.
