Plume Network General Counsel Highlights Tokenization Benefits in Bitcoin Suisse Report
B. Salman Banaei, General Counsel at Plume Network, has outlined four key advantages of tokenization in a report by Bitcoin Suisse.
The report highlights the benefits of tokenization for asset management, which include improved settlement efficiency, expanded access to assets, enhanced transparency, and reduced counterparty risk.
Banaei testified before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee in March 2026 that regulators should evaluate tokenized securities through the same economic risk lens as traditional counterparts, and warned that the United States risks falling behind countries like Switzerland and Singapore in terms of regulatory environments.
Plume Network's numbers demonstrate the potential of tokenization: its Ethereum Layer 2 mainnet launched in June 2025 had over 220 tokenization projects with a combined asset value exceeding $350 million by early 2026, and around 260,000 real-world asset wallets are associated with the platform.
