Poland Detains Olympic Chief Amid Zondacrypto Scandal

Poland's government has launched an investigation into failed digital asset trading platform Zondacrypto, accusing it of ties to the nationalist opposition. The probe follows claims by Prime Minister Donald Tusk that alleged gifts from Zondacrypto's boss had influenced the opposition to block efforts to tighten regulations on cryptocurrency trading.

The head of Poland's Olympic Committee was detained on Thursday, reportedly due to his connections with Zondacrypto. The committee chief was backed by the previous administration and had awarded Zondacrypto a significant marketing contract.
