Polkadot Price Jumps 8.66% Amid Strong Decentralization Reports
Polkadot's (DOT) price rallied 8.66% today as trading volume surged more than 60% above its 30-day average, according to data from Traders Union.
This increase in activity followed reports highlighting the network's strong decentralization, with a high Nakamoto coefficient of 169 indicating a robust distribution of validators compared to other major blockchains.
The short-term technical structure remains bullish, with DOT remaining above its 20-day and 50-day moving averages. Momentum indicators are also pointing upwards, including a 'Strong Buy' signal from the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and a positive Bull/Bear Power reading of 0.032.
However, it's worth noting that the long-term trend remains bearish, with DOT still below its 200-day moving average. The nearest resistance level sits at $0.926, while the main near-term floor is at $0.903.
