Polygon and Arbitrum Dominate USDT Stablecoin Transfers
Tether's USDT stablecoin has seen a significant surge in transfers over the past three years, driven largely by Polygon and Arbitrum One. According to recent data, monthly USDT0 transfer counts have climbed 438.2%, with these two networks accounting for an impressive 78.8% of all transfers.
Polygon has been particularly successful, processing 452 million stablecoin transactions and 1.4 billion transfers in 2025 alone, a staggering year-over-year growth of 140% and 227%, respectively. The network's stablecoin supply reached $2.83B, making it one of the most liquid Layer-2 environments for dollar-denominated tokens.
Arbitrum has also seen explosive growth, with daily stablecoin transfers increasing from approximately 80,000 in early 2023 to over 2 million by late 2025, a 25x increase in less than three years. Daily transaction volumes now exceed $5B, demonstrating the network's ability to handle high-volume transactions.
The USDT0 protocol has attracted significant attention, with approximately 6.5 million active wallets and cumulative cross-chain transfer volume exceeding $100B within just 525 days of its launch in early 2025.
