Polygon Faces Renewed Pressure as Top Traders Hold Strong Long Exposure
Polygon's price faced renewed pressure after FalconX deposited 14 million tokens valued at $1.29 million into Binance, raising concerns about exchange-side supply.
The transfer marked FalconX's largest Polygon deposit to Binance this week, occurring as the token tried to stabilize around $0.09349 after a rapid pullback from its late-August peak of $0.125.
Moving tokens into Binance introduced readily available exchange supply, creating potential selling pressure. However, the transaction did not confirm that FalconX sold those tokens but rather introduced additional supply risk as Polygon sat around a key demand region.
Buyers would need to absorb any incoming selling pressure to protect the establishing recovery structure.
The derivatives positioning provided a different outlook, with Binance top traders maintaining substantial long exposure despite the exchange deposit. Long positions accounted for 63.21%, against 36.79% for short positions, resulting in a 1.72 Long/Short Ratio that reflected clear support for bullish positioning.
