Polygon MATIC Token Sinks to $0.38 as Technical Indicators Point to Sharp Move Lower
The price of Polygon's MATIC token has been stuck in technical no-man's land at $0.38, surrounded by hostile moving averages and meager volume.
The 7-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) is the only meaningful support level below current price, but even that is tenuous. The SMA20, SMA50, and SMA200 are all significantly higher, with the latter at a distant $0.69.
Momentum indicators also point to bearish conditions, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stuck in oversold territory without actually reaching it. This suggests controlled distribution rather than capitulation.
The Bollinger Band read is particularly telling, with MATIC trading below the midline and closing in on the lower bound at $0.31. The band itself is narrowing, indicating a compression coil that typically resolves with a sharp directional move.
In contrast to bull thesis expectations, volume remains thin despite what should be structural support, signaling that sellers have already done their job. The 24-hour price range has been flat, and the futures market shows no extreme short positioning.
