Polygon Patches Critical Vulnerabilities Amid Ongoing Selling Pressure
Polygon Labs has patched significant security vulnerabilities within its proof-of-stake network by implementing the Austin and Kyoto hard forks. The upgrades addressed denial-of-service risks and a validator bug, according to Coin Turk.
The mainnet upgrades were activated ahead of public disclosure, which limited reputational risk to the protocol. Node operators must now upgrade to Bor v2.10.0 and Heimdall v0.11.0 to establish a new security baseline for Polygon's operations.
POL/USD trades below its near-term moving averages and remains in a bearish momentum setup, with price at $0.0957 and an expected trading range of $0.0885 to $0.106.
